How to get in Sitia
By airplane
Sitia has a brand new airport, named Vitsentzos Kornaros, which has flights to and from Athens. Also it is connected with Preveza airport, Alexandroupolis and Heraklion.
There are daily flights connecting Athens with the airport of Heraklion. The airport of Heraklion is connected with many domestic destinations and also with various foreign countries.
The City of Sitia is just a few minutes drive away from the airport. Besides rental cars, there are taxis available to any destination on Crete. There are no bus connections available from the airport.
